Couldn't see the pie recipe but here's a delicious one for pumpkin soup...
Fry a chopped onion in some olive oil, add a couple of peeled chopped potatoes and turn them in the oil. Add the chopped and peeled pumpkin, turn in the oil, just cover the whole thing with water, add loads of ground black pepper then turn the heat down to low, pop the lid on and let it simmer.
When it's all soft and smelling yummy (20-30 minutes) get going with the soup maker. Add some fromage blanc, or Greek yoghurt, or creme fraiche or whatever, salt (much more than you think) and some chopped fresh chives/parsley whatever is still growing on the kitchen window sill...
And serve.
