If people haven't figured out the difference yet, I doubt there's anything you or anyone else is going to be able to say or do to convince them of anything else. It's far easier to categorize people into little groups than it is to actually understand.

But you see this is part of the problem. You have apparantly assumed that because I am in Afghanistan that I am from Afghanistan. The fact is, I am an American working in Afghanistan and while I regret that you would use the term "cultured" with sarcasim when describing Americans, I understand it because many others from different countries have done and continue to do the same.
I only mention this because people have a tendancy to jump to incorrect conclusions about people based on very little information.
If you honestly seek to answer the questions posed i.e. "do american people really hate arabs and muslim? do arabs and muslims hate american people?" you should start with an honest assessment of your own feelings and bias' about this subject.
Anyway, nottrying to be rude but I do believe you need to explore these areas.
