) The 2010 Olympic games are opening in Vancouver in less than 80 days- give or take a few - and lo and behold, the downtown parking lot that was to become the CANADIAN PAVILION...is still a frigging parking lot! Except it was just announced that the design and rapid building of said pavilion has been entrusted to an AMERICAN company. 
Hmmm is it just me or is this somewhat, I don't know...wrongish? Thoughts folks...let's discuss. I have to run...looking for some summer tourism pamphlet design contracts for a few of the southern states...why not?

Quite an easy answer actually. If you want a good job done, a solid sound building that meets building codes with no corners cut, you hire a Canadian company. If you want something slapped together in the spur of the moment that may or may not last a year, you hire an American company.

I am thinking money has a play in this. It usually is about the almighty dollar. Only here in Canada would we throw an 80 year old woman in the streets at -40 because she couldn't pay an $1800.00 rent?
