It seems very unfair that just because a few could not behave themselves that the rest of us do not get to use the web cam facility.
Perhaps CS could introduce a system where the user can approve whom they want to have video links to?
If video killed the radio star, we should not let bad manners kill the web cam stars! ;)

Very true, my darling and I met on here and since he is in Italy and there isn't a plan on phone calls to Italy we would talk here and now we can't even do that! I don't think is fair, now we have to write each other letters and only that....

You are right....I was referring to the 'normal' use of the web chat not the 'other' use which is probably why they switched it off in the first place. What goes on between two consenting adults is fine if both parties argree to it...however, it seems some people just don't get that and just take advantage....yet the rest of us have to lose the facilty too.....I think it cannot be that difficult for the web-guru on CS to set up a means where by we can choose who we allow to be able to webchat us or not...

Why worry about it... just download Skype and then you are your own boss. and you can talk for free... and its not bad... web cam can freeze up for a few secs now and then, but its a grand tool. ... or you can choose not to have cam on... just talk.

I can attest to the value of Skype. I have it in Honduras and talk / cam or not to cam to anybody else with Skype totally free. For a few bucks a year you can talk to ANY mumber anywhere I think.
