Edmonton was the second coldest place in the whole wide world yesterday, right behind my ex. Oh yeah , and Siberia. Holy fudgecicles it was minus 48 without the wind. (-59 with)

How did you folks in Edmonton handle it? I lived out there for four years and I thought I missed it til now.mumbling

lol. Stayed inside mostly. Made sure truck was plugged in and heat tape on sump drain lines working.
You know though, once it gets down below say 30 below? It's just cold and painful no matter how you look at it.
20 more degrees below doesn't make that much difference.

Went out on a date Saturday night...-35C...it had been awfully cold for the last week...you almost get used to it. Now it seems warm out.

Holy Crap is right. A few years ago, it went down to minus 75 in Alaska. I heard about a guy up there trying to describe it. He said it's like 40 below, only colder.

i will write you a short story ,,,,//// once upon a time in dawson city it was winter <thats easy>>poor ol me had to work outside for short periode of time ..about 9 in the morning we had a cold wave come thru.it went down to 81 below f, ..the government highways man foned the radio station at whitehorseand told them and they put it on the air o.k. thats good .. then the catholic priest foned in to the radio and said it was -84 and the gvmnt man was lying SO ...the point of this story is not the 81 or 84 but who can you possably believe t\he govmnt or the cathlic church.. you chose, neither one has a sterling record with the truth doh
nother time in dawson city it was winter and firewood was in very short supply.so it was probably saturday afternoon . there was no wood to heat the church for sunday . then a fellow came by with a cord of wood for sale .. the two priests had a bit of a discusion as to who would get the firewood.fists were involved and i didnt hear who won so someone got a nonfrozen message to that god guy on sunday. personaly i wasnt there but i think its true. its a good yukon story anyhow you slice it dancing
