A majority of the world's scientists agree that we do. In the past we didn't know better but now we do. Years ago Bush was speaking at a conference in Norway and the world laughed at his ignorance, but even he had to admit it years later.

Consider your sources - and their qualifications. I only have some non-science degrees with a few physics classes here and there. My own scientific opinion is worthless, however of the really top scientists in the world its almost unanimous.

Watch the thread and you should be able to discern the people who can think vs the Fox News Rednecks.

Here's some evidence:

And here is the consensus of the best world scientists not a political organization

A few years ago I heard a lecture by a scientist that works for the weather department of NASA. He said that the overall climate change in the worldwide temperature, in the last 20 years, has been an increase of 2/10 of a degree. He also said it wasn't anything to worry about, while some areas of the earth are getting warmer some are getting cooler. You might want to check solar activity as well, the sun is a little hotter than normal. I guess the human that controls the sun turned up the dial too much. professor

You should know that one person's opinion would be considered anecdotal evidence and not reliable. Key is that it was several years ago and the consensus is even greater now. Activity on the sun is taken into account.

Finally 2/10 a degree may seem small if you're outside and one area is 72 and the other 72.2 however small differences in global averages are significant as they melt ice caps and threaten habitats.

You might also say 2/10 of an ounce is small measure and a person weighting a 102 or 102 and two ounces is indistinguishable. Perhaps but take 2/10 of an ounce of plutonium and you could kill an entire neighborhood or more.

There is no scientific evidence of Global Warming thus why all the controversy over the climategate emails which were manipulated.. Of course we don't want to live in a smokestack world but there absolute no proof backing up that global warming exist and many of the conditions have stayed the same or were similar to when the Dinosaurs existed. You have to consider Green Energy is a huge business and a lot more involved (i.e. $$$$$) than the ice caps melting..

BTW.. it's freezing in Texas right now :D

Just going by what the man said. He is a scientist and has access to the most precise equipment available, do the other scientists? I read somewhere that, when you check the list of scientists reporting global warming, you will find that some of them aren't qualified to judge atmospheric changes. Most had doctoral degrees but a degree in electronics doesn't qualify a person to say anything definate about the weather. Sure is cold here, we been setting records for cold weather.

The climategame/manipulated emails from the scientist studying it explains it all! No proof.. and Gore won Nobel Peace Prize for this! lol

I could have sworn back when I was in school that we were taught that the climate on this here planet thing where we live has been in a state of flux since day one. I know we should reduce the pollution the air we breath but I think some people get a little carried away.

yeah.. i have to agree that Global Warming is a real science, however, they have been calling it climate change lately because Global Warming is basically just a cyclical process through which the Earth heats and then cools over time. Yes, as the Earth heats, some of the ice, especially in the North Pole, melts. However, when that ice melts, there is a 6th grade science word that explains what happens when ice melts in water... Buoyancy. It means that when ice melts in water, it keeps the exact same water level as before. The only way that ice melting in the water makes the water levels rise is if it is land ice.. Most of that is actually located in Antarctica, which is the absolute coldest place on Earth. I don't see that stuff melting very quickly.

The North Pole, located above the equator, is mostly made up of icebergs which do not harm water levels at all. Also, notice that most of the Countries who highly contribute to the emissions into the atmosphere are located North of the equator.. Thus, the South Pole being illy effected by us.. If you read up on some of Lord Christopher Monckton's great science knowledge, it will be quite clear that Al Gore is a complete moron and knows nothing about Global Warming.. It is literally a cycle that is like that of a sine graph...

In fact, he proved mathematically that the stuff by which our corrupted Government wants to implement in order to "fix" the Climate Change deal would make matters much worse. My vote goes to saving those tax dollars and trying to reduce the National debt that has already exceeded 12 trillion dollars and counting.. Not spending money on useless b.s. that will make climate change something that we WILL have to worry about once put into action!!!

ocean78382: Chris that's an intelligent well-reasoned response. Compare it to the one made by the illiterate guy from Austin.

Which part of my post was illiterate? Calling an individual who went to a prominent university with a degree illiterate might be considered offensive by some members while violating the forum rules. If I truly was illiterate, I wouldn't know that would I? LOL.. If I was illiterate, I wouldn't of ranked in the top 1% of the country for reading comprehension during our scholastic testing. lol.. Are the majority of scientist you are speaking of and that "agree" the ones mixed up in climategate? Are they the same ones manipulating or omitting #'s? I am sure that many of these scientist were well recognized and considered the best- but they are and were lying!

I agree, my response was not as detailed as the "well-reasoned response" but I got to the point, there is no evidence despite what you linked to. Those articles say that there is a consensus by some scientist one of them took place in 2001 yet do not go into no scientific analysis- thus very weak.

However, there is evidence that there were very similar Co2 levels during the dinosaur age thus indicating it'a a natural occurrence.

Whatever the case.. I'm not illiterate and there's no reason for the offensive remarks.. I never once called you names or questioned your intelligence.. I respect people's thought's on this issue but it's true, there's no evidence of it..

I would say it be 60/40% at the mo. Weather patterns around the World are changing, you can see that clearly everyday.

All the crap we pump in to the atmosphere is having an effect, but natural elements are combined with that too.

Global warming huh. Well the scientist will tell you yes we did caused it because of all the experiments and data collecting they have performed. Now here is the problem. Without the proper experimental environment which there is no proper environment because if there was the lab would be the earth and not small cubicle laboratories. When research in anything is being performed there is always the possibility of an unknown factor or variable that can totally ruin a hypothesis. The labs and dungeons that these world famous scientist worked out of is not a true platform for the massive question are we causing global warming. Also, a hypothesis is never proved or is considered fact it is just accepted because it has to pass the test of time and even then it could never be proven. Have you ever heard the saying medicine is not an exact science. Science is not exact it just has standed over the test of time. Wow pretty good with a Bio-chem degree and I dont even use it.
