Ingenious1Rochester, New York USA1 Threads 1 PostsHi, I was with a woman for most of 2009 that I met and spent last new years eve with and everything was going great as far as I could tell, then I went back to college and in my last 4 weeks or so she told me she wanted me to go on with my life, out of the blue, I was stunned. I spent alot of time crying becuase I just dont understand how someone can do that to another person. We had no fight, we did so much together and the way she did it leaves me to question everything, even myself, so here I am trying to find another special person to be with and I am afraid to tell them I have this broken heart that is fresh and it has been hard because I get rejected by so many woman, I am on like 5 dating sites and the few I do find who will talk to me just don't really seem interested at all. Oh well, I just feel sad tonight. and for the past month.

I am sorry to hear that. A guy did that to me back in August; just broke off the relationship for now reason. Just know you deserve better and someone that truly loves you will stand by you no matter what. My thoughts and hopes are with you for a wonderful new year and a new love.

Well no one wants picked on the rebound we all know that doesn't work out well, get thru your grieving time that you need, then seek out a new love. My love of my life, cheated after our 11th year together, that;s when it really hurts. So count your blessings you only lost a year, and keep moving forward. Hey we all go thru many rejections, or reject many on our path to finding the right one.

It will ge better-we have all been there, and it really, really hurts...but you just keep your head up and stay focused and positive...Focus on yourself and feeling better emotionally -before you jump back in...There is a special person out there for you...one who will appreciate you...Stay strong...

Many times in relationships we make up this extremely romanticized version of it when obviously the other person isn't that happy. If it was so magical she would have moved on.
Many people can't handle long distance or if someone is doing something else like college, and they have people on the side. Obviously this wasn't exactly what you thought it was.
This didn't happen out of the blue. You were so into her you wouldn't and couldn't see the signs. I would realize what it was in reality and move on to something better.
Also women can sense a desparate guy. You need to be strong and drop the self loathing attitude. Also for God sakes DONT tell anyone you communicate what happened.
you sound like an extremely open book and that is not good. I know it's the in thing to tell your life story to anyone that will here in todays world, but you have baggage; get rid of it and things will work out. Good luck.
