What does it mean to you?

Do you spend time actually thinking of your heart's experience and knowledge and then filter your intent and words through it?

Is it more important to be ego you or heart you?

More importantly, how often do we LISTEN with the heart?

All metaphor Prana
Personally I use the Ego to solve problems and the Heart to create them.
At least that's how things usually turn out.

Factitious? No, not you.
I think you're in the same boat as most of us seem to be. Seeing heart things as painful, failing to see the obvious learning that is created through heart processing.

Do you think it's possible to entirely think with the heart, to listen with the heart, speak from it. Do we do this automatically anyway or is it really interference that we misunderstand as ego or intrusion of rationale?

It seems to me that in the end, even rationale is a formulated 'thought' plan to serve what the heart desires. dunno

Dr Freud saw the Ego as a compromise between the Rational and Appetative.
Or what we nowadays often call thinking with the Big and Little Heads.

It's noteworthy in Freud that the Rational is an IMPOSITION on the Appetative.

hmmm Freud was a Taurus and hence definitely Appetitive in nature by given taurus instincts. giggle

It's a reasonable assertion I think John; that rationale is an imposition, though not necessarily worthy of such a ill fated conclusion, as 'imposition' suggests. imo

Part of our awareness includes this rationale, so I'm not sure it should be seen (only) as interference or imposition.

Maybe it's ill fated rationale (ill rationale)that imposes? dunno

I tend to think with my heart, I have to admit. Sometimes its works, sometimes it dont.

I am a great advocate of the Gut Feeling, and being a Cancerian, tend to think with my emotions primarily.

In my life, I have GENERALLY been right in my Gut Feeling, whether it be about people, jobs or just general decisions. I have not made as much money in my life as I possibly could have done, because I have made job/career decisions based more on my emotions, and how I FELT about it rather than perhaps what was more financially beneficial for me.

However, I am generally happy with my decisions, and have learnt to regret nothing. All decisions can be learnt from - even bad ones.

I think this attitude if I can all it that allows for more movement of energy through the heart whether it originates in intuition or gut feelings or not. Going with the flow, allows events to be filtered with ...ummm ... less judgement on the outcome? and perhaps more gratefulness with the participation in the events.?
