and it is i suppose in a way! but its not really, its for a good cause!

BUT the only music i dont like is people who make it just to be completely commerical.. i know peole are only making a living out of it.. but it just sucks all the happiness out of creating music for you i guess?? like eminem is a perfect example.. he first album was awesome!! after that.. it was pure commercial bull.. meh, rant over!

I know what you mean with the commercial crap... however, I think it's quite hard to define (and dismiss) commercial - technically all musicians that trying to make money are commercial, aren't they?
For me, the summum of commercial is a producer, picking boys or girls from the internet, based on looks not talent and nicking samples from others to make a poppy hit - beware of the boy/girl band!
I don't usually like covers as well; although there are some, where musicians add a certain something, sort of as a tribute to the original, which are quite ok.
Guess it all has to do with the feeling... the passion an artist puts in his creation; creativity... most true musicians live (for) their music.
