I’ve noticed his absence… sad to hear that he is not well. I can’t phone as I don’t speak English, but you can tell him that, according to Russian folk’s wisdom, doctors are powerless if a patient really wants to live.
When you are on the phone with him again, send my best as well. (Hope he will be done with this nurse-hunting soon, and get down to real dating)
smoky: Hi guy and girls ..... You may have noticed, as I did, that Conrad has been missing? Well I traced up his Mom and Dad in Zurich and they told me he is back in hospital.
I phoned him now ...... he had an emergency on New Years Day ... and a 6 hour operation. Ahhh ... he is sounding very tired and listless.

Ah ha ... Englishman ... Nein, I am not really vigilant ... I thought he was all heart-broken over me finally finding myself a partner and so had gone and slit his wrists or jumped off the top of some building ....... When instead he went and had an emergency operation ... so emergency he didn`t even have time for a quick phone call to his Supervisor (me).......I have been out of the picture for a couple of weeks so hadn't noticed Conrad is not around, but so glad you are the vigilante one here.
