Im sure some people might but she isnt the first mistress and the i dont remember anyone else getting police protection, im sure anyway it wud be reported if their was a threat to her, i just cant figure it, and there are people in real need of it

but i really am stumped here, no one seems to know She was given "preferential" treatment... and no official reason has been given. I would think she requested it ....... and with the facilities in the new criminal law courts they could easily facilitate it. It begs the question - does she have the right to her own privacy and from the press ..... or do we have an absolute right to have a "gawk" at her. Members of the press core were complaining by saying not having a picture of her was "not serving the publics best interest" - (?) it depends on how you view it. If she has been given special treatment then others may follow.....
Despite this they obtained a picture of her anyway - it was splashed across the Independent yesterday....

Good point....I couldnt understand why the press were screamin about it..until one editor explained that in future cases, we may see celebs and politicians (is there a difference?lol) being offered the same protection...

I was mugged years ago....at almost 9mths pregnant....he got my purse but thankfully, I didnt suffer major physical harm. I followed up the case with the police and was shocked to discover that I might have to literally point the finger at the perpetrator, had he been caught! I thought I could do it behind the safety of a one-way screen! The suspect I pointed out from a book of mugshots had been previously convicted of attacking tourists, with a knife, in the city centre! Yikes!

yes but i think the official term was police protection and i suppose i am just wondering why ? When you look at what is happening in limerick and the real need for protection for witnesses which isnt given?They didnt do her any favours anyway because the media felt they were cheated out of something and created a much bigger interest,personally i have no interest in what she looks like, just wondering is there more to this than we know?
