leaves falling onto the ground
water dripping after a storm
broken branches litter the ground
slowly rotting upon the ground

slowly making my way through the torns
slighty cut but never ever so cold
high winds freeze my hands
barely even able to hold my cigerette

reached the spot we looked for
but always dreading the wrong step
luckly we found or way across the flooded stream

made the choice to find a new path back
stumbling on flooded ground destroying our clothes
at least the path got easier once we found a road
walking back past the traffic at least ive made it back
