Heres the wikipedia discription:
The Colony is a reality television program. The series was filmed in an industrial area bordering the Los Angeles River on the edge of downtown Los Angeles, and follows ten cast members in an environment that simulates life after a global catastrophe

(TV_series)

above is the link to what the show is about.

Its available to watch on your computer through youtube.
The directory for the show is not that organized to watch but once you start, at the end of each video there are options to watch the next in the series.

here is the link to youtubes colony videos

just copy and paste the link into your address bar.

I hope this helps. I just find the possibility of this happening and how these people react to the things that happen to them, to be very interesting....

Hmmm. Ok, watched the intro. Looks good.
Sure the possibility of that happening is always there. No one person could ever be completely ready I don't think. This is a group of 10 people all with highly specialized skills too if you read their bios. dunno
Not ready but prepared, smart and lucky might do you in a situation like this. Can never tell.
Interesting though.

Yes, i agree, there is some smarter than average colonists, I just finished the first season, the things they build and create are quite ingenious, to power a gas engine with charcol and fire wood! Thats good to know. The water purification process changed and they ended up making a electric ozone gas machine that took place of the boiling of the water, because they ran out of propane....

I know its just a show, but useful survival information (if real) is utilized and therefore good to know.

I like the series and will now start watching season 2,

That's too bad. Looked like a good one as far as reality series go nowadays. A few years ago I liked watching the one they had on that had people doing the pioneer thing in Manitoba for a year. Can't rememeber what it was called. confused But it was good too.

Agree. Still sometimes entertaining. I watch tv once a week. Tuesday nights that's it. Can't be bothered otherwise. Usually reading, but there can be such a thing as too much of that too. blushing
