Hi,

I wish you all a good year!
I plan to visit Budapest in a business trip.
Don't know if I would have too much time for fun and shopping but in case I will, could you recommend me some: places to see, shopping tips, any other advice?
Thank you!

Budapest has some fine architecture and impressive interior art work: National Parliament (neo gothics) could be visited on a special tour/going to a concert there, otherwise one can't enter. Opera Theatre on Andreasi Street is one the most beautiful in Europe... Legendary and again spectacular Gerbeaud cafe to have a coffee and pastry. Art Nouveau Gellert Hotel's natural hot springs spa and pool are great after a hard day work on a business trip. Széchenyi Baths are baroque and have a large, hot springs open-air pool which is fun to use in winter time...
Shopping scene is not that vibrant... the largest mall is Mammut, though not central and away from tourist routes.
