I am very excited that the quest starts on Saturday- february 6th, at Fairbanks, Alaska! The race is about 1500 kilometres and the finish line is here in Whitehorse - will be exciting! I have a deep love for dogs and have had my whole life. I have been a follower of the races for several years! I find them to be courageous, strong and smart to say the least; as are the mushers. This is a long, grueling and often dangerous race. Anyways here is the link - some may enjoy checking it out and may want to follow the race over the next week or so? I am going to cheer for every dog and every musher and every support person out on the trail for safety and good health. There have been some tragedies through the years,as well as stories of great faith and humanity and bravery!
Check it out! Mushers are from all over the world!

Best of luck and mushing to all in this very difficult race. Some of the stories that come this dog race are what Alaskan legends are made of. Surely the number of friends made from competitors in more each year.
