Good one, Adam...especially #1. I've often wondered this, too... do explicit messages pay off for some men? My guess would be that the percentage of favorable replies is quite low, but even one out of 20 or more attempts is still a pay off for the sender. There must be some women who do enjoy such messages, or else the men wouldn't keep sending them.

Don't think for one minute that they don't know what they are doing. They are part of what makes a lot of dating sites less appealing for those of us not looking for cheap thrills. I've had a few here and on other sites try this crap with me - all I will say is I pity the fool.

i find it difficult to accept but it has got to be somewhat effective . with all of they negativity one should receive you would think no one in their right mind would consider this approach hence question #3 .

I guess it must be effective to some degree, or they derive some sort of power complex from upsetting women.
Personally it has never crossed my tiny mind to send such stuff, but judging from how many complaints we see from the ladies on the site, it must be happening quite often, or one or two guys are particularly active.

i think its a silly approach.
even though its not my style, i must admit, the one time in my life
i actually tried the crude approach (i was 19, and alcohol was involved) ,
it actually worked with an efficiency that made my head spin, and
it was via telephone. the girl really took a gamble on what i might look like (and visa versa)
