I wish to live without hate, whim, jealousy, envy, and fear. I wish to be simple, honest, frank, natural, clean in mind and clean in body. . . to face any obstacle and meet every difficulty unabashed and unafraid. --Elbert Hubbard
Growing up, we learned there were many places to make wishes: the first star, a well, candles on a birthday cake. We saw Dorothy return from Oz after she wished she were back home. Fairy tales taught us wishes can come true.
We don't have to stop wishing, even though many of our wishes never came true. We may have wished for the impossible when we said "I wish things would get better at home." But we may have gotten our way when we said, "I wish this pain would end." Our dreams came true. .
Our best wishes can be about ourselves and the lives we want to have. We can wish for riches and find friends with hearts of gold. We can wish for comfort and health, and get a night of uninterrupted sleep. Whatever we wish for, we can receive.
I always enjoy your thoughts of the day, they get me started on a positive note each time...I really like this one...whatever our minds dream up, wish for we can receive if we beleive enough though be careful sometimes what we wish for we shouldn't have gotten or realize that it's not what we really wanted in the end

Good morning HJ Are prayers and wishes one and the same? Hmmmm guess I will have to do a wee bit of research on that. However I do not believe we receive everything we wish for. If we did there would be a lot less sickness in the world. I do believe some of our wishes do come true, but maybe in a slightly different way. We go through things in life that at the time make no sense at all and possibly to us, will never make sense. One thing that I don't and never will understand is why the Viet Nam Vets were treated so terrible when they returned home. But then I won't get into that as that would be for another thread. Not even sure what got me started on this morning. Maybe had something to do with my lengthy chat with my Creator this morning.
A noble premise, but I must disagree, wishes we make don't always come true in ways that are acceptable to the individual who made them. At times more grief is added before a solution to the original problem is achieved.
However, it's not my intention to be a doomscryer, so I'm going for another coffee and you have a great day Pat, and if you get a chance find and read the WALMART thread on here, good for a chuckle.........deacon
Today I wish for no politics at work, these emotions disturb my creativity. My home has become my studio, this has been my dream and wish and it is coming together. When I make a wish or I have a dream that may be grander than I can imagine, I will always ask for guidance in obtaining what my heart desires.
