Messi is a more complere player,even if Rooney rite now is propably the best striker in the world. Regarding awards well as usual will go to the player who will lift up more cups. Even if it's very difficult the certain awards goes 2 times in a row to the same player. Not to forget that also Cristiano Ronaldo is doing a great seoson at Real, but unfort they are out of the Champions League so for sure he won't be competing for any awards.

Amazing form Rooney has so far eh????? He's done absolutely NOTHING so far in this cup. Even though I'm not English, I do hope they pull their fingers out today and beat Germany. - Ronney reaching 32goals this season so far and is his best season ever, and for me has had a bigger role of since the departure of Cristino Ronaldo last summer, and especially how he destroyed Milan over the 2 legs, my feeling if Rooney can stay out of injury then I think he could be a mojar part of leading United to another Premier League and Champians League double this season, and for me it would great to see an English man do well for a change.
- Messi since being named Fifa player of the year, earlier this year, I think Messi has got better and better, and believe if Barcelona can win the Champians League again this year he will be name the player of the year again, just like Rooney he has well over 30 goals to his name this year.
