Everyone talks about wanting to meet an honest person with good moral. The more I go through this online dating thing I'm finding people are mostly very dishonest. How much do you tell a person you just met and is it considered a lie if you hold back some information? doh

It's different for each person you meet, how much you want to reveal. I don't consider it lying if you hold back info...I am honest and I tell them to ask me anything, if I don't feel comfortable answering at that time-I say so-usually it's not a problem. Communication and honesty are most important!

I personally see no reason to lie online as when they meet you; they will know. Seems very immature to me. dunno

Unfortunately there are the few bad ones who do ruin it for the good ones. I do know what you mean though.

Mind you, there are a couple of things I don't put on here because these things are personal. I just believe that not everyone needs to know everyone, only that someone special should know everything.

Those with no agendas or fear need not hide anything, those that do, always realize it is nothing about you ,but always about them.

Since chemistry is an internal concept it is amazing how many NEED to SEE to choose, hmmmmm makes one wonder why failure after failure we do the same thing over again, hmmm

Cheers and just be completely honest it usually scares off the scared and the arrogant quickly

good question,it's hard to know how much info to give out, after talking for a few months, and a few dates i think it is good to say more, or it does come off as a lie, just my opinion, good luck, hang in there, dating sucks these days

It is not considered a lie if you hold back some information. Transparency and honesty are different. I try to be both because that is the way I was raised. Some people and I would say most are not totally transparent but that is not wrong. It is wrong if your asked a question and your answer is a lie. Personally I do not believe in white lies like some do. I think a lie is a lie regardless of where it is placed on the lie scale. If someone is willing to lie then they must be willing to accept the consequences of that lie. Most will come back to bite you.
