hi t..........wave thats an interesting one........professor
luckily i spotted it before logging off...

well it comes originally from the west coast...the first known reciprient was one duncan o'goodhew..i think its circa the mid 15th century...?

he was the eldest son of the tribal leader pj & o'duncan...but was ridiculed for the perculiar way in which he swam...unbecoming of royalty or so the story goes...and was drowned off the conemara coast whilst diving for winkles at the age of 34/35......

hope the helps with your disertation feel free to cut an paste as i forgo any and all royalties or infringements which may or may not arise from your usage thereof...(unless you make any trinidadian dollars in which case the deal is off....beer

Derivation of the Gaelic name Donnchadh which means "brown warrior," from the Gaelic "donn" meaning brown and "chadh" meaning warrior. 2) Powerful chieftain; strong-headed, from "dun" meaning fortress, and "ceann" meaning head or chief.
