A lot of other countries suffer so much more that is for sure. But why do they hit the US? Because they can and it is a certainly a way to have your view heard. In any other area of life, like music/art/movies/dance, if you cna make it in the US then you ahve made it. So why would it be any different for terrorism. If you truely want to create terror, then hit the nation with the biggest target and the biggest threat. Those countries that are labeled as supper powers are going to be targeted because they are a force.

One person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter! I don't know about home grown terrorists, but speaking about 9/11, we've been bombing the middle east and interfering in their business steadily for years.
