i have been exempt of military coz of my weak eys.being in a polluted mega city deprived me to wear contact lenz as you may know glasses qulity are not as good as contact lens.there was times when i got fed up and wanted to do it and here in my homeland they are good at surgery.but the fact is ,people who dod it will do have problems and there is no guarantee with this method.people who had this will not tell you(most of them say they are satisfied)as the result of such mistake would be permanent.one may have to use sun glasses all the time, eyes will get tired so sooner and some more srious problems are possible.

My ex had it done. He used to be considered "legally blind" without contacs or glasses. Now his vision is perfect. But it was much more than $400 per eye.....cool

I had it 7 years ago... and my eye sight has been perfect up until the past year, and ive noticed its not as good at night now and not as sharp, so I dont like driving at night now...
(I was short sighted)

but given the choice I would go ahead and have it done again..

I paid £1000 per eye (I dont know what that is in $ ....

its worth going for a consultation though as thats normally free, and you might find its 'from' 400 per eye, so it might be more..

go for it..

hug

i had laser eye surgery almost 7 years ago, definitely worth the money and the pain ect.ive had no problems with my vision since, but i went to a doctor who had been recommended by friends who had also been successfully operated on by him.
the only negative is during nights while driving i see a halo around the street lights, but the doc warned me of this before operating.

Gotta be honest here, thought about having the surgery done myself however the only thing that prevents me is its fairly new considering it hasn't been around to know if theres long term effects. I only have these two eyes for my life time, prefer using glasses, my perspective right or wrong.conversing handshake comfort

definitely do it. Know a woman in our post office who was wearing glasses since teenager..can't believe she'd suffered for that long. After a surgery (gee, it takes like 5 min total!!) - she finally got rid of glasses and is looking awesome!
Email me and I give you some details.

It's fairly new in US..but has been invented some time ago in Russia and came from there. Just do some research in regards to doctors here (perhaps someone you know did it and is happy with the result) - and then "close your eyes":) and go for it, you'd be happy you did. Wearing glasses is no fun.

Go for it.

I had mine done in 2003, best thing I ever did.

However, the $400 you quote is VERY low. I paid $3000 for mine and that included the optromonist (spelling?). He warned me of using the 'cheaper' options as the machines used were older and the people doing the actual operation, kind of 'trainees'. I went to the most experienced and the one he recommended.

So, see your eye doctor, seek his advice and go with his recommendation. You might NOT be suitable for the surgery, he will determine that.

18 seconds an eye, that's all the actual operation took. NO pain.

They will give you valium before they op and then you will have a nice little nap when you get home (bring someone the drive you home) and when you wake up...magic, you csn see without glasses.

Two weeks of eyedrops....that's it.

sound advice, I also know people who have had great success with this op....never looked back pardon the pun..your quote is very cheap its much more expensive in Ireland 1,500 per eye at this time.thumbs up

Mother, two sisters had it in Greece a few years back. Don't know prices but definitely more expensive. Very good results, just a little sensitivity to light. Easy operation, about 20 mins. Similar to what Steve describes.
