no it isn't dead...there's still a bunch of us around. We don't have duels to the death anymore but we are still courteous to the women. Now there are some women who do not like to have us around doing things for them(opening doors and such) so you adjust to who you are with at the time

Well I think its still alive, just a bit rarer these days......I have trouble finding it here in Australia, guys here are not overly chivarlrous (

That's not chivalrous at all. That's macho male jerk image that ignited the need for women's equality issues in the first place.
Chivalrous is treating a lady like a lady because you want to and it is the gentlemanly thing to do.
