So you finally gathered enough courage to go talk to the cute redhead who caught your eye; your friends aren't impressed just yet.

You finally develop the backbone to ask her out; now your friends are impressed.

They ask where you plan to take her out, and more importantly what you're going to talk about on that all-important first date. Your knees begin to tremble uncontrollably ...


So? What you going to talk about fellahs?

I was reading an article about "safe" things to talk about ...

Geeez some men have no idea!!!!

Unless you've known her a while and knows she likes to debate.. avoid religion and politics - 2 major argument-starters for most people until you get to see how she responds to other things. When all else fails.. start asking questions, and plenty of them. No better way to get to know about her, and provide a bit of insight about yourself at the same time... asking her questions, then giving her your answer regarding your question. Extend the same to her, and let her ask you questions - this appears to be one of the better ways to get information 'out there' between you two without it making one or the other uncomfortable.. seeing as you probably won't ask a question you won't want to answer for the other one.

Smart man who wants to do his homework here... that is before blowing it with the new lady in his life... Please, please, please do not talk about old girlfriends or one night stands in your past...will not impress her...might your guy friends, but not the lady you're trying get her attention from....Instead take the time to ask her about what she likes, then tell her what you like and see if there's things you both like and could do together on your next date...

Just depends where we're at and what's she's into...
If i've known her for awhile I might ask how her family's doing or her kids. If it's our first time to really get to know each other might ask her if she's ever been on this side of town before? If she says yes, ask her what her favorite hang outs are over here?
If she says no and you have, tell her what your's are...usally there well be some subject in the confersaion to keep it going....with luck
