Apologies once again, and I didn´t say I don´t like your threads, just that they are always negative.
Yes I do live in Spain and have met lots of extremely honest Spanish men.
Are you talking about English men or Spanish? I don´t often meet English men except for a few dates from here.
There are good and bad people everywhere, but sometimes we don't cross paths. And, maybe b/c you think there are no more honest people out there, you aren't giving people a chance b/c you already think they are not. Be more open and accepting of people, and you will find them. They are out there saying the same thing, "are there any honest women." So, be positive and look at the good things people have to offer. People want to be around happy, positive people.

Jo, sorry you are having bit of a rough time right now. But as another lass has said, rough and smooth every where (or words to that effect! Lol). I admire you, for coming on to EU forums, with your heart felt probs, thinking, there is going to be someone there to help and/or advise you through your hard times. Supposedly that is what the 'forum friends' are there for?!

I’m not sure that it’s much harder to find honest people these days, than it was before. I haven’t noticed any increase in lying in my environment.

Nothing special about those people: they are you and me and the every next. We lie most for ourselves (I’m so good, so talented, so beautiful, so wit... care to continue?) for most of the time, as no one else would tolerate such obvious lies in such gargantuan amounts.

I was convienced that what forums is for to find some good advice from people that is outside of my circle of friends.Yes I have had a very hard time of late with a certain person that has been in my life and I know by allowing him to be this way is my own fault. Thanx for that. The reason i always end up with some people that is on the wrong side of the fence. So i do try and find positive in all people even if it does not look that way. I am pretty happy with life am just in a bad place at the moment and just maybe i just need some positive advice....................

If a fact cannot be proved it doesn’t mean that it’s a lie. A classical example: there was time when some people stated that our Earth wasn’t as plate as the majority considered as a fact. It couldn’t be proved at that time and therefore was called a lie. So your definition of honesty doesn’t hold. Not for me anyway.
So perhaps, people around you so dishonest only because they’ve got some other definition of honesty?
