Records allege Utah man beat stepson to death.

Still believe there's a loving god up in the sky who protects the most vulnerable and innocent?

Yes she should. And if there is any justice in law to be had in these circumstances then she will.

Man made this world the way it is. Any actions, good or bad, are the results of things we've laid out. Why blame a God for things WE continue to get wrong?

lostx2: Well I'm sorry for actualy caring about this and expressing how I feel. I like to cut up and crack a joke on the forums like others, but there are some subjects that hit close to the heart. Theres a time for a good zinger and then theres a time to actualy care and be sensitive. I am not trying to "score points" as you say.

It's ok dude, I never saw anything in your first post to warrant a comment like that. But then again I'm not God's gift. moping

If it makes you feel any better, he accused me of being judgmental. Go figure huh?

Yes. If everything was perfect, how would anyone see their need for God?

Most of you people need to go back to school and learn to read! I didn't blame god for doing this savage act I merely called into question the existance of a supreme being who is supposed to be all powerful and loving who could stand by and let this happen. My point was, things like this only prove further to me that there is no such thing as a supreme being.

when you make a statement asking where god is, your saying god was there to help this child. It's not so cut and dry. If your gonna blame someone blame the parents. Where did there moral compass go?

How about it proving man's fallen state? Or proving how morally corrupt man has become and needs a Savior to redeem man from eternal punishment for such behavior? That's right, we all have god in us. And what a god it is....

Your hate for God coupled with the guilt you feel for your own short comings has blinded you and made you bitter towards God. There is no fool like an old fool.

You take any chance you get to discredit God for man's behavior. And I would venture to guess that when something good happens, you're quick to give credit to man and try to use it to "prove" man has god in themselves. You are simple in your thinking. You have all creation around you. You have the human anatomy with it's complex design and you sit there smug saying there is no Creator.

I suppose you're foolish enough to believe that I went to a junk yard with a shoebox and loaded it with pieces of glass, screws, bolts. I took it home and shook it for 12 months straight. When I opened the shoebox, out popped a Rolex watch. Ah, but you say that's impossible! Yet the human anatomy is way more complex than that of a Rolex. No wonder God says that a person who says in their heart, "There is no God, is a fool". professor

I don't "hate god". How can I hate a figment of your imagination? Guilt for my shortcomings? What shortcomings? I'm perfectly happy with my life and I sleep like a baby. In fact, I am more content now that I've shaken off this burden of having to serve and worship a make believe spirit. You're the one walking around with a 100 lb rock on his shoulders, not me.
"And I would venture to guess that when something good happens, you're quick to give credit to man...." Right on brother!
BTW, your metaphor about the Rolex was ....simplistic.

Back to the story, I can only wonder how the father of this little 4YO boy must feel. I'm going to try to find out who this judge was who ordered the boy be sent to his mother without investigating her live in bf. Tazewell is about 100 miles from where I live. I think he should be disbarred!

Can you imagine leaving the boy locked in a room while they go and get married? WTF?

Actually I am quite happy about where I am and who I am, thank you.

Just because you have numbed your conscience towards your short-comings means nothing about not having guilt. Charles Manson would even echo your very words. But I guess you are the only human in history that is perfect without any flaws...btw, before you respond, short-comings are character flaws.

You are simple in your thinking. All men worship something. We were created for that purpose.

But this just shows how blind you are. You accuse me of having this 100lb rock on my shoulders wanting to unload in on someone, but look at my threads and posts. Tell me, which ones have I started these types of conversations? You tell me when I first made the attempt to give a "dig" into those that do not agree with me without cause? You are proving yourself to be a fool. Is this how you raised your kids to be...to speak without thinking? I confront arrogance with directness and I don't care how the arrogant feels about it. If you don't like it, stop being arrogant.

I have nothing against you as a person. But I do with how you think. handshake

I could change the word God to the word America and I think you'd see that differently but it would be just as cheap.
