nicki_love: LOL.. Paris huh?? My thinking here is this: All my life I've really been attracted to good-looking men.. yes, and I know that the term is relative! Now, I am wondering if its fair for me not to overlook some physical flaws (by my liking) of a person that is really wonderful in personality.. when in truth I am no beauty queen and I would want a man to do the same for me.. overlook my physical flaws..
We all do it - want perfection whilst expecting others to accept us as we are - warts and all....

I dont expect anything ...im not a material person, and wouldnt wish to date someone who was attractive on the outside but ugly on the inside.
i always find that when you meet someone who is so lovely, sweet, funny...it is already attracting, it transforms your views in a sense. It makes you see them as beautiful. xx

illu_66: Whilst I applaud that. I don't see it in the 'real world'.
Some of us rarly get the chance to show our characters. as we are overlooked because of our looks. Nobody has ever looked at me and said "WOW - look at the mind on that!". You know. So out in the 'real world', I struggle.
Here, people don't HAVE the physical option, so I'm accepted more for my posts (my brain) than for a handful of grainy pix.
So 'out there' my experience is that people DO place a high value to the physical.

Most of us will say that; to say otherwise would be to admit we have a flaw.
Most of the profile pics seen here are taken in a way to show our most attractive physical side. Soooo, in my opinion the physical IS important.
Gee it was good not to read here that the size of someone's wallet compensates for anything else we might be looking for in someone else....... (or did I miss something?)

I will say this. Me being an average person I do not even think for one second I will end up with a ten. As long as the person I find is weel rounded in the mind, kind, and has a willing to over look my short coming, then I will ajust to alot. Sometimes people are bliended by what there not willing to accept, they miss out on somthing special
