Why men? How come that this forum divided in male and female threads?

If someone from my family member or friends would say that we need to talk, I’d say: “We áre talking now, let’s continue to talk, and feel free to tell me what you want to tell.”

If it would be someone of my colleagues or chief or a neighbour, then I’d make a time appointment or take the matter right there on standing foot if we both had time for that.

But if it would come from a partner/spouse… Does it mean that we don’t meet at dinner or in the bedroom. Don’t we do things together? Don’t we talk then? Well… if one has to send a herald to negotiate terms of a conversation with his/her partner, wouldn’t that mean that the relationship is practically over? Anyway, “We got to talk” sounds too severe to use it in everyday situations, and too dramatic to use it in serious times.

Ok let me explain when a woman says something ie. we have to talk what i want to try and find out is what does a man hear. It is not devided.............Just intresting to find out from both male and female point of view.......In most relationships yes we talk, but sometimes we are not heard and there is times when we really need to talk for real..............

Ok, no one is interested in my opinion on the matter, I’ve got that much. but still, it’s sounds too ominous for me.

So as soon as I’ve hear “We got to talk”, I’d hitch up my skirts and run for hills.

kidatheart: Why is she screaming "We got to talk", and why aren't they still in bed together?

No need for drama if there's something of merit to be discussed.

Why is she screaming "We got to talk"? – ‘cause she’s upset.professor

Why aren't they still in bed together? – Dunno… perhaps, he’s not that good at boogie-woogie… dunno

(After the second thought… may it be that it’s his performance she wants to talk about? Or the lack of it?)

No need for drama if there's something of merit to be discussed. – Completely agree with your statement. But would it hold in the real life or is it only hypothetical?

Still no need to scream, even if she is upset. Anything and everything should be open for calm, resonable discussion, including likes, dislikes and bedroom performance. cool

I guess it would depend on the two individuals involved, but I have no problem talking about anything. Others might not like my answers, or I might hold back saying some things until I'm clear in my own mind.

never thought about it.. guess if I ever were to fear those words it is because I know something is wrong.. in a well functioning relationship where partners talk about everything I doubt those words are ever needed..

Well… a very sound attitude from my point of view… and somehow chilly…
