Why would you wait for someone forever if you see your message has been read and you have got not reply? Isn't it obvious the person you e-mailed is not interested?

Not everyone who contact us are nice people. Feeling obligated to reply is a misguided principle that only can get us into trouble. Scammers and other 'bad' people depend on our good nature. Many people reply to a lot of messages, flowers and eCards on CS, but I would never agree that we should feel like we have to communicate with someone where something tells us otherwise. I am a very friendly guy, but I will do return all messages.

I seldom bother to reply to scammers, to gentlemen who are much younger than I am, and to those whose letters don’t make sense. And “want friendship” spiel coming from another side of the planet doesn’t make sense.
