wave Hello!
We’ve added EU Forums to give our CS members from the EU a place of their own to post. This area will be available to EU members only. Is this a good idea?
Do you like it? What do you think?

Let’s get this local forum started! Send a mail or flower to several members and ask them to meet-up in the EU Forum.

In the meantime, you can click the International Forum tab in your top navigation bar to join ongoing, lively discussions with members worldwide.

Enjoy..

Hi,

I think the EU forum is a good idea, but the CS Netherlands is not.

There are just a handful of women here (sorry, didn't look for the guys), most haven't been to CS in over a month and, in general, not the easiest to get aquianted with. But heck, what do I know, I only lived here 47 yearsconfused

In my opinion a CS EU site would have been a much better option. For example, I wouldn't mind finding a friend in Germany, Spain, UK or any EU country. Distance is nothing anymore, because prices of flying have dropped dramatically (you can fly cheaper to some other country, then take the train from Groningen to Amsterdam).

But it remains just my idea innocent

Hello Dreamkeeper, thanks for your feedback. Good point. You can go to , and use your same username/password and login (do not re-register). There you can meet members from all over the European Union. These same EU forums will be there too.

AKDOPhd, glad to see you here! Looking forward to your posts and appreciate your input. wine

Well if this is available to EU members only I best not get comfortable. Actually I am sad to see this. I'm afraid I'll no longer see my overseas buds and if I read this post right this forum will not be available to me as I am in Canada. Yet I am able to post? Hmmm??? For Now I guess....moping

Hummmm,

Well, at least I was here for a minute blues

I'll haul my carcass over to the International Forum.

I wouldn't want to hog in on a page where it's for EU folks for their very own.

Hello!

We've added the new branches of the site to give members a local place of their own, where there is more chance to meet singles closer to home. Members should have a connection to the local branch to use it… in other words, they live there, they travel there, or they are specifically looking for a match there. The local forums are for discussion of issues and interests for those with that connection. This is just another way for Connecting Singles to help our members find a lasting relationship with the special someone they are seeking. This is what members want, and we are receiving very good feedback from members on this.

It makes sense that international members would want to check out the new addition, and that's great. But ‘moving’ into a local community without a connection there doesn’t make sense. And creating a duplicate of the international site would defeat the goal of having a smaller, more local place to meet. The local branches are here to enhance member’s use of CS, not to exclude.

It’s really simple: a local forum for use by the local community; the international forum for everybody. We don’t believe you'll lose anyone from the international forum, if that is your fear. To the contrary, what you’ll see is that it brings in new members who would otherwise not come; and that will benefit all or you.

So....to use the EU forum, you live in a European Union country (or CS membership area in Western Europe), you travel there, you have joined to search specifically for a match in these countries.
