In my case aiming to be as healthy as possible and maintaining it is good hygiene, eating as well as possible, not abusing alcohol, no smoking and exercising by going for walks or cycling every other day and some gym when I can and it’s available.

I have to make time for the gym and recently cut back from 5-6 times a week to 3-4 times a week. I wasn't getting enough rest between work outs for my muscles to heal. I think it also contributed to my recent back injury.
As far as food is concerned, that's just painful lol I've started keeping a journal of everything I eat which forces me to be accountable. It's a really good way of seeing exactly what it is you eat during the day and it's surprising.
I thought I was pretty good at eating well but apparently I've got a ways to go yet lol

I just read an article that stated 1/3 of all Americans are obese.
Wow! That's frightening. It was an article dealing with how until this century, a little extra padding was considered a sign of wealth.
Now it's considered a sign of laziness and poor eating habits. Wonder how far from the truth that is?

Just trying to keep alive. Don't smoke, drink a little, dancing, on my feet 8 hrs everyday. I am beat by the end of the day. One reason on CS is to have fun.

I wake up everyday, check my pulse (if I got one), then get out of bed. I work outside everyday and tell the younger guys, to try and keep up. My foreman tells me I should let the younger guys do them heavy work. I do it, have done it in the past and will continue to do the lugging and slugging till I feel myself breaking down. This gives me enough excersise that I don't need a gym memebership, ride a bike or run. I also have horses which I ride 2 or 3 times a week.

Staying in shape and feeling young is all in your mind set. I have quit playing sports, like baseball, hockey, lacrosse and football. I now watch and enjoy seeing the younger generation enjoy themselves at the sports I enjoyed.

So to everyone stay in shape and think young. We earned it.
