I never had a problem taking in the kids .....but the mothers thats where the problem lies....

My daughter is 5 and a half years old and I've been a single mom for 5 of those 5 and a half years. Since she was born until now I only dated someone twice.
To be honest about it, it doesn't bother me in least. In fact, I make use of the time we have together because very soon (too soon) she's going to leave the house and I will be able to date whoever I want whenever I want to

2 ain't nothing try raising 5 by yourself,to me 2 will be a piece of cake.but they grow up fast and one day you will wonder where have the time gone,yes it is hard sometimes being a single parent but it can be done,just take it 1 day at a time and i step at a time,learn how to cuss alot but never beat your head against the wall.when you feel like yelling at them don't it is bad for your heart and blood pressure.but eat some garlic and onions get in their face and breath on them as you are talking to them,when they breath in your breath out,sometimes it works and sometimes it don't,it just gets on their nerves as they have gotten on to yours,but smile and relax in the end when it is all said and done,when they say i love you,you will know in your heart it is worth it

children understund more than we think l'm father of one and is very difficult l should find someone with my same situation.

Awww hun...Ive been single for 4yrs, but its been through choice.
Ive decided to raise my children without any male interference, due to my past.

I know it must be difficult. There are problems for everybody though.
My kids have long flown the nest but I can´t find a man who can handle my work committments.

Yeah, watch that "work ethic" seems some folks think that's a "Total Turnoff".....seems nice to me to have a place to live, food to eat...and all the other little things in life that make it so Wonderful

I don´t think any loving mother puts her kids before any man, and I believe that´s the way it should be. It´s much easier if your kids are grown up to start thinking of yourself and start the serious relationship game.
Just my opinion, and it´s probably not worth too much as my kids were grown up when their dad and I split up so I´ve not had to deal with that problem.

I remember dating a lady, living with her, about 10 years ago. Her kids were grown, left the nest, but the youngest ones expected the mom to be there when they snapped their fingers. Sometimes it was very difficult to make plans of her, "What if the kids need me?" She had never put her foot down when the kids were young, and she knew it. It was a part of me, her, deciding it wasn't going to work. I love to hunt, fish, camp, or just be out in the middle of nowhere, for who knows how long, at a moments notice.

Kids have this fantasy that you and the ex will get back together.My son had it for years.He also didn't want me to date because he didn't want a new Dad,what if the guy didn't like him etc.
I would go out on the days the girls are at Dad's for visitation.This way they don't have to meet the duds and you can go out without the flack.
