Do you think that men and a women are still able to live a true love in a society where most of the people is self-centered, without deep values and mostly concerned in earning more money....?

True love still exist. Time and time again people are falling in love with each other, which is pure and innocent.
I believe it still exists. If it didn't, what would be the point to life? Money, fame, stability is nothing without love. I found it before, and I will find it again.

Gosh, where is this hedonistic place you are talking about. I don't live there. Most people I know believe or desperately want to believe that true love is just around the corner for them. Personally I would like love to knock on my door.
I think Lstx2 and Plainljune that if what you lived was a true and real love, from both sides, it shouldn't have ended: real love has so deep roots that you can't take them away...and it lasts forever.

I found love, it may not have been my one true love, but all I have to do is look at my folks. 33 years together and still happy as ever. My aunt who was here visiting from up north was married to my uncle for 63 years, they would still be if he didn't die. I refuse to believe that my one true love is not out there. If you give up hope, then all is lost, trust me I've been there.

Well Christmas1...I knocked yesterday on your door, but you didn't even answer!!! Generally talking we all want to believe in true love and we are looking for it...but Christmas1 open well your eyes: do you really see a lot of it around...are all the couples you know still together after a long time?
Loveartlife: Yes loverboy...we all started to wonder: eiterwhise we wouldn't be all here at this hour talking and dreaming about love, and looking for it here.....
I'm not giving up at all...and I perfectly understand what you are talking about when you mention about your parents, but something has to be changed in the meantime if it's no more like this nowdays....

yes yes yes yes yes of course there is true love i have seen it and have felt it in my life. there are many loving couples out there and as some of us mature and become less egocentric we are more capable of loving truly.

Yes, actually most of the couples I known for a long time are still together. That even surprises me. As for knocking on my door..sorry didn't hear you.

ouch on that one. but really, i think we never stop loving someone once we've started loving them. We may break up and the passion has somewhat dimmed to the point that we can no longer stay together. These are choices. But the caring is still there. It was love and it is love.
for my one true love (lifetime partner), i guess i'll know he's the one if we've been together til the end of our lives. As for now, i'm searching for someone who i can be confident enough to commit to and work things out through and through. someone who can make me not want to give up...
Wow Dawn...luckly you are a wise mature if you are less egocentric, and you'll have a better chance... But usually is not like this: most of the people when they get older become too attached to their habits and believings that is not always easy to deal with in a couple.
