venere08: Oh, wow, Medsummer, what a heavenly setting!

I'm afraid my accommodation with relatives in Montana Agliana doesn't quite measure up to that, but I love being there with them.

I have to say I've not seen that side of Tuscany, the more hilly side that is. What's always struck me is how flat it is, which would be great for bike riding. Maybe it's further north?

Must ask you. Have you stayed there?

Oh yes, I think all the photo or most of them are mine on the website. I'm getting set to go back down and shoot some aerials of it this month.
Most of what I have seen of Tuscany is hilly. I think your relatives are north of Firenze?
There are some flatlands like the Valdarno Valley and the area to the northwest of Firenze on the way to Pisa. This place is located south of Firenze, between Greve-in-Chianti and the town of Figline Valdarno. If you drive down to Siena you'll go through the hills and be fore-warned what looks like an hour drive will take you two hours! As long as your eating Italian cooking your accommodations are just fine!

How lovely that will be! Do you publish the photos elsewhere as well, or mainly on the interent? I shall have to take note of the countryside as I travel around there next month. Now that you mention it, as my cousin was driving us home, it was quite hilly on the way back from Lucca.

Sounds like lots of vineyards around being the Chiabti region.
Way to go, Medsummer wine
