This thread is meant for those who have seen the 2007 Spanish movie El orfanato (The Orphanage). I saw the same a few days back, with English subtitles and liked it very much. I would like to know how it was received in Spain. Also I would like to hear your views regarding the following: Towards the end ,the husband , Carlos leaves Laura alone , apparently to get some relief from the sinister atmosphere. While he is away ,she works her way to reach the truth and dies in the process. Isn’t it a bit incongruous? Would any good husband do like that ?
