thewall2: discuss...
I have a friend from here, don't know where he lives now, but he was 4th in the world as powerlifting champ about 25 years ago. He was short and ALL muscle.

Power lifting can be a serious commitment. Some body lifters eat every 2 hours and even set an alarm for at night so they can wake up to eat I think that is so they do not release corticosterone in their body because that can negate their weight lifting session. Let me know if I am wrong

You're pretty accurate on the eating every 2 hours or so to keep fuel in the system...about the waking up in the middle of the night,a good nights sleep after a workout is important to me,but I HAVE HEARD OF BODYBUILDERS waking up in the middle of the night to eat..it's nit uncommon.

I just wish that more people would become more knowledgeable about lifting though. I go to the gym and see these really big guys lifting weights but they have the wrong technique.

Power lifting..... never done it, although I used to push weights to keep fit...... that was enough, so power lifting must take so much dedication, I am not sure I am the one to do it..
Power lifting... I just love it. In fact I watch it all the time when shown on the box.
Actually I also eat every two hours and I don't think that I need an alarm clock to wake me up. I just sleep walk to the fridge and raid it on autopilot.
But seriously, you guys are brilliant so power to you all.

Technique is everything..it can make the difference in a couple of hundred pounds in your maximum lift...if you have the right technique.
