In this case I’d guess “Normal” means that the questioned doesn’t want to tell all the details of his current life right now. It doesn’t have to be well with him, he just doesn’t want to complain.
It’s adequate to answering “Thank you” when you’ve been asked “How do you do?”. Means exactly nothing, just a way to enter a conversation without getting straight to the subject of interest. As to what’s normal… On Russians forums (or foruma?) it’s normal to comment longer post without much sense with phrases as “Haven’t read, but don’t agree” or “Afftar, ubej sebja ap stenu”

well I'm enjoying the story so far .. correct me if I'm wrong but he asks her if she's looking for just any old buccaneer .. and she answers he isn't gettin any - or at least not anymore - he must have had some, but I missed it - Are all Russian love scenes over this quickly? ..

Now I’m confused… in my world a buccaneer normally is either profitable or dead.
Perhaps it sounds shallow, but I’d prefer a profitable buccaneer (size doesn’t matter), in an old and unprofitable one stead.
And no, it’s not over yet: the second page and they haven’t even started to eat their soap…

I refuse to copy others, so that is why everyone thinks I am Not Normal.
That way, I dont get asked to look after their kids, or their pets, they dont ask me to cook for them, or do anything ... wonderful life, to not be normal.
