When you vote on somebodys profile photos, are you voting for the way that person looks ,the humour or creativity ,or just because it appeals in general
I have seven photos on my profile, but only three have been voted on,although two with no votes are historic, one is blank until it is clicked on
Also do you contact the voters to thank them for their trouble ?
Just curious
hmmm

To me rating is not important a profile is a good starting point and if I find something interesting I would follow some of his writing on the forums to know a bit about that person or the other way around if I like what he is posting I would take a look of his profile.

It would be nice to thank though to the person who takes the time to rate but sometimes that can be misunderstood and they will keep writing back and that is the reason why I do not give thanks anymore.

I don't vote on photos.

And don't allow voting on mine.

Let's face it -- photos don't do people justice.

I've met people who look much worse that they looked in their photos,

and I also have met some who looked considerably better applause than than their profile photos... soooooo... voting doesn't make sense to me.

cheers

This was my thought exactly ,and partly why i asked the question, as unfortunately in this case politeness can be misconstrued as something else

Hi L
I look on it as a bit of fun
banana

I suppose the original idea is that the higher the vote on a photo you receive, the more interested the person viewing it is supposed to be

But as it has been said ,this can give a false impression
It might receive a higher vote because it is funny or artistic

Hence my question, i just wanted to know the reasons why people vote and what aspects they view them from hmmm
