I used to read the book "X-Factor"...it wasn't very good.

Oh wait the show...um, don't really watch it.
Maybe I would if they did a version where the music wasn't so 'financially obsessed'.

Think I've seen the auditions more than anything...which are pretty...dramatic.
(Good, bad and awful..)

Saw the audition with the Cheeky Girls.

They seemed a fun 'pop' pair...but unfortunatley, a series of ill-advised TV appearances just put them in a worse and worse light...

a reality dating show where they were outsmarted by contestants...
a documentary where a (just been swimming) fan at the beach hugged them and ruined their outfits...while someone stole one of their handbags & mobile phones...

A shame, they were ok for Pop music, and had a lot of 'star quality'.
Main thing was they were fun.

I enjoy watching the auditions but then lose interest when it gets to boot camp as I don't like regurgitated pop music.

Hopefully they will find a damn-good rocker or soul singer this year - instead of another Justin Trousersnake wannabe !!!

I enjoy it too. The auditions are funny but I also like the main show when they sing on stage. It's not that I like the show that much, but in my lonely world, any show like that makes me feel more connected to other people. It's the same with Big Brother or the World Cup. I'm mainly interested because the majority of the population are, so I feel like I belong more and like I have some company when watching them. I'm not sure if I can explain it any better than that so if that makes no sense, please feel free to ignore me! dunno

Geoff.
