...my reaction would be more like how you might expect a guy to react... which may also be why I hesitate to "spill" on the subject...
I would detach emotionally... go to the gym more... laugh a lot... talk to people absolutely everywhere (but never about the hurt)... seek out parties, event-tickets.
When some time has passed and I am able, I would let myself feel again... then I do a lot of writing and start to actually move through it and past it.

I'm trying to remember a relationship that I cried over and pretty much coming up blank. It all depends on the person and HOW things ended. Mostly I just like to get on with life -not that I don't think about it but that's just my way, sometimes I find it might take me a year or two after to really sit and analyze all that went down. Of course a little gabfest with my girlfriends about it never hurt.
