whitetiger77dubois, Idaho USA3 Threads 36 Postswell, call me old fashioned but I still belive that a person should judge others by who they are not what they look like. in a recent poll mainly for women the biggest turn off is no photo in their profile. is that right? I mean if you get to know someone then that person could e-mail some photos. so why do a person have to have a photo to get any responses. what do you think?

I like to see who i am talking to,if i am just looking for a friend a photo wouldn't matter.But im looking for the man i plan to spend the rest of my life with.You need chemistry,attraction,same values,like to do the same things,you can learn some of this by a profile,but with out a photo how will you no if you are attracted to him,if that spark is there,but it boils down to meeting in person before you know if its there,but a photo helps.

like I have said if you like the profile then he could send pics over the e-mail. myself I like to read about the person then try to contact them if they respond and seem interested I will send a few pics with my next letter. I don't just look at the photos and pic and choose who I like the look of. thats me though. thanks for the advice.

That makes sense,but alot of people on here will not give there e-mail address out till they have talked a while,because of the scammers here...Good luck sweet,you seem like a great guy,hope you fine the one

To me...it's like going "window shopping"!!
You go down town, look in all the windows for something that might catch your eye.
Less people would buy anything, if they couldn't at least see if it's what they are looking for, then and only then would they look at the descriptions of the said item (or person) to see if it would meet their requirements!
It's part of the "selling yourself" process. That's life.

u say right, but it will depend on specific case, as sometimes talking by email, yahoo,... both profiles hv many common interests, but when seeing the man in webcam or photo, then sometimes u like to stop talking forever and regret why we talked with them for manytimes,... that why need to see the profile photo the soonest to decide the relation can go further or end here.

I've met guys that only have one photo and
when i asked for more photos and a webcam
as i believe if they want to see me on cam
then its only fair i see them also and its a
good way to bond and laugh ect. So a photo on
a profile isnt alwasy the real one unless you
see them on cam.

It's the same feeling, when you talk to someone and he turns his back on you.!!!
Or when you are talking to someone, and he/she is not looking you in the eyes.!!!
Generaly, I believe that people who don't put photos in their profile, have no confidence about themselfs, or because they try to hide something.

If im looking for friends then I would never judge there looks,
but for a partner, then yes looks are important to me..I dont want to be putting a bag on their head when we make out becuase their looks repulse me, and visa versa..
I would hate to be with someone and know they did not find me attractive..I want the whole thing, looks AND personality, I would not date a good looking guy if he was as dull as dish water, or if he was not a nice person...
And the problem when you start to get chatting with a guy, and yes, say you do get on, then he emails you a photo... what do you do if you dont fancy him...Ive had this happen, and they always say...''so what do you think?'' Its difficult, do you say 'sorry mate, your not my type'
So for me, I only reply to guys with photos, well unless he said he was a Robbie look-a-like...
