Well I've been working a lot of 12 hour shifts so I haven;t been on here so today Im pop on for the first time in a few days and everything has changed.... we have a Canada Forum...??? I don't know whether to be happy and pleased coz we're specila or to be scratching my head, eyebrow raised thinking "well now, why did they segregate everyone?"

Anyone have a clue as to why this was done? And what do you think about it? I don't like it. I like the fact that there is one big forum. I like to know what everyone thinks even folks from across the planet.... So yes I know we still can go to the other forum I just.... well.... yeah... whatever...

To be honest I prefered it the way it was before. All one big forum. I don't really see the point of why they did this as everyone is going to post in one anothers forums anyways.

Are us canadians punished and sent away on our own little Island or what? LOL (KIDDING)

I redsally liked the old format better... you think the mods or CS gods woulda asked us what we thought before doing this.. oh well... glad I'm not alone in the not liking this opinion lol

Segregated! Banned! Shunned! Losing your friends! Listen to yourselves!! What are you complaining about??

We have created the Canada Forums as an ENHANCEMENT to the international site - to give members from Canada a local place of their own, where there is more chance to meet singles closer to home. . The local forums are for discussion of issues and interests for those with a connection here. It’s another way for Connecting Singles to help members find relationships with the special someone they came here seeking. And this will also attract new members from Canada who are only seeking locally.

So now you are free to enter either branch, and you have an additional forum, with the potential of a new group in each. How great is that!!?? And it's all free!

So... again... here's what you have:
You have a local forum for those with a connection there (lives here, travels here, is specifically seeking a match here), and you have the main forum where everybody can gather. You may use either or both. If you want to talk to your international friends, use the main forum. If you want to discuss more local issues and topics, do that in the Canada forum. To do it any other way would only create a duplicate copy of the main site, which would make no sense. The new forums will be places where everyone is a newbie and all can feel safe to join in and post, without fear of attack by an established group.

Now, there of those naysayers who prefer to spend all their time complaining about everyone and everything that is not under their personal control. They don't like change because they’re afraid they may lose a place they feel entitled to. And they work to spread their misconceived ideas no matter how many times they hear the truth.

Well, stop listening to them!
No one has been "segregated"! On the contrary, it will bring more Canada members together and encourage new Canada members to join the forums.

No one is being "shunned"! This has ALL been done for YOUR benefit.

You have not been "banned"! If you were, you wouldn't be here right now!

If you are feeling these things, you need to look within yourself, as these are personal issues with no reality as far as this site opening a few new areas of the forum!

We hope you will like this new area and see the advantage of the changes. This is the way it is set up now, and this is the way it will continue! If you don't like this change you should simply not post. If you don't like the new arrangement, you are as free to leave as you were to join. One thing is though... don't expect to use this quality resource that is offered to you totally free of charge, to bash, disrespect, or downgrade it. Read the rules. They will be enforced.

Think about it!!!
Then, relax, enjoy,
New friends are made in a positive environment. Do your part to keep it that way..

Its actually been nice to have the different forums and I've already seen "new" people participating. Personally though I'd like the option of having one screen wherein we could access all the different forums from instead of having to log into the other sites.

The other forum sites do have a "different flavor" which is nice to experience and hopefully I will meet some people closer to home as right now it seems that everyone I personally talk with are very far away. The chance to meet or even just grab a coffee with members here seems more possible from the Canadian forums so while they seem a little slow ... I'm just switching back and forth.

I think as well we have to be realistic ... how many have actually found another willing to travel great distances to meet? It seems the world is a smaller place because of the internet, but that few are truly willing to venture far to find love - sad but true reality.

It seems that the almighty dollar and as well the rules for immigrating between counties hinder alot of relationships which truly is sad because we don't have a choice as to where we are born in this world, but we have rules about where we can live or not live imposed upon us. So much for freedom - you seem to have it as long as you have enough money or the right kind of job - which all of us in this world have not been blessed with, but I guess if we are willing to work hard enough we can attain.

troy,

i think its been a brilliant idea, i love talking to the people in the uk forum with people closer to home and i feel i can relate to those people better and i also enjoy posting on the international forums, so to me we have got the best of both worlds. so how anyone can complain about that is beyond me.

thankyou c/s again for making this site more intersting all for the benefit of us.

I actually love it! kiss

As I'm not interisted in anyone that isn't in my area, this narrows the "active" members done for me :)

Thank you! Your hard work is appreciated!

I knew you didn't segregate us and I hope my reply to the original thread wasn't taken to heart. I was kidding about seperating us.

At first I will be honest and say it took some getting used to but I like it more and more now because it does feel nice to have a place with my canadian friends and I actualy have time to get to every post in little time lol

Keep up the good work Troy and the staff of CS!! thumbs up
