Are You Ready To Date??? (54)
To be honest, I am not sure if I am ready to date or not. I do know although that if I do not atleast put myself out there and give it a chance, I may be missing out on a wonderful person.
I am definatly ready to date. I am actualy ready to just settle down with someone and have a life with them. Its just the matter of finding that person now. It does get frustrating at times but I know its for the best to take it one day at a time. Who knows what the future will hold right?

I think that when you have reached the point where you have "neutral" feelings for the past .... then you have put it behind you and are ready to move on. I don't think that there is a magic timeframe or timeline because each one of us is different in how we deal and/or don't deal with our lives.
My personal opinion is that you're ready to date when you don't feel the need to date.

Well Gibson there is a definite difference between feeling the "need" to have a partner and just wanting to spend time and share experiences with another. I agree - fix your life and be happy first on your own and generally then its amazing how attractive people find you to be. Those that think there life only starts when they have a partner are taking the wrong approach I believe, and placing their happiness in the hands of another.

Well that could be a "loaded" statement!!
Under these circumstances, i would say this case hasn´t released the memories or baggage.
My 2 cents, I´m ready to date if i´m willing to get to know someone i´m interested in, in my experience i had the best friendships and relationships if on my forehead wasn´t written: I´m desperate.

I'm just gonna surrender at this point .. learned my lesson about women and plays on words a long time ago lol
OHHHHHH so disappointing ........ that's most of the fun of being here .... but surrendering could be interesting too!!

I know once we are "free" of our former relationship...we get out there and think we are ready to get back into the dating scene...and we are excited about it...
But how ready are you really?...
Are you prepared to invest that time again really getting to know someone's likes and dislikes?...are you prepared to "share" yourself again...to learn what makes that other person tick???
And if you are ready....How do you know???
