Ja, Friday 30th July was my daughters birthday.

She was abducted when she was 2 years old, and I only found her late last year ....... 43 years later.

We correspond daily via emails. She lives on another Continent, about 11 hours flying time away. We plan to meet up in the near future.... when I will fly over there.

But Friday was the first time I could actually hear her voice!....and the voices of my two youngest grandchildren!

I always felt sympathy for parents who lost their children ..... I knew the feeling. And I had begun to believe she was no longer alive. And then the most amazing co-incidences happened, and we were re-united, via the internet.

I apologise to post a personal thing here .. but thought maybe there are others who had a similar thing in their lives, and to say ..... Hey! When the timing is right, things come right!

Thank you Conrad and Mariola!

The family have been speaking to each other for a while now ..... she has two brothers she never knew about! .. and aunties and uncles, and cousins, and nieces and nephews!

But for US two ..... speaking was something "special".

O wow what a fab and great end to sad beginnings. I sort of know what you are talking about. By far not to the extent of your story. Me and my daughter were apart from each other for 19 years and we have been together for the last 6 years.

I am so very, very happy for you. I hope you will meet very soon and am sure you will have a wonderful time.

Again what a wonderful story.teddybear

I gave this post a lot of thought...Smoky stay with me (there's logic in my madness)..

A week before you meet your wee girl (<---Belfast speak for daughter)..PM me and I'll buy loads of shares in paper tissue companies (it's bound to be a weep reunion<--with 100% respect..bouquet ). I'm sure you both will use loads..leading to an increase in production and I can make a killing on the stock market..( I'll cut you in for 30%..means if the gods are good you'll get your flight money back..and have a few sheckles over for a piss up..

Congratulation too...wine

Hi Mick, and thanks for your comments. I read your threads and posts. Very interesting.

And sad. I am sorry for you.

I never was able to trace her ..... because she was removed from my country ... grew up in other lands.

Mine was also a dangerous situation .... I had threats to my family if I attempted to find her ... a bullet in the head of my siblings kids, and later the same for my step-children ....always reminders that "they" knew where I lived. I had married into a "mafia" type family, unknowingly, and been too young and dumb to have assessed the situation.

When my grown sons wanted to try and trace her, they also were able to realise that, because they have children, the risk was too great.

But now .....that family has dwindled and aged and lost their force. And then a friend found a name listed, during their course of work, and the tracing began .......with many co-incidences..... and ended successfully.

She lives in high security of her own making, and is fully aware of the reasons why we were seperated. In other words, she fully understands that I never abandoned her, that she was kidnapped. And is grateful that we are both alive to enjoy knowing each other.

Reading all the advice given to you .... I would say the best is to put advertisements, just small, the cheapest "Smalls" advertisements in Personal columns of every newspaper - maybe giving their birth dates and whatever names you knew them by, and a contact number for yourself. Good luck. And remember .. whatever happens, happens at the right time, and if not, it was not meant to be.
