Strolling past a stall at our fabulous Central market, towards closing time, I stopped at the organic produce. My eyes strayed towards some meaty bones with a clear plastic cover, and then to the label in front which said:

:FEMALE PIG'S TROTTERS

wow

How intriguing, I thought! How does one tell, and why should it matter whether the trotter belonged to a boy or a girl pig??? confused

I just had to ask the rosy cheeked lassie behind the counter.

She was most accommodating, and treated the matter most seriously.

Her answer:

A female pig's trotters taste sweeter than the male's.
Aslo, the male trotter meat smells awful.

So there you go dunno

Everything you wanted to know about a pig's trotters, but were too afraid to ask!rolling on the floor laughing

Some things I have learnt in the recent past (well, since I ate my last kebab anyway....)

It is always better to ponder before hitting the "enter" key.

Patience is perhaps not the ultimate virtue, but it's right up there.

Drinking while writing posts on the threads may be deleterious to your reputation.

Some farts are indeed inflammable.

Yesterday, I went to visit an alternative medicine clinic that has some elements of Mexican ancient cultures. Quite interesting their approach because they say that the mind and the spirit have to be healthy in order for the body to be healthier too.
