When i view a profile its because i was interested in that person for some reason...some times its to get a better look at the photo, read what they said on there profile...usually its because i liked what they said on the forums, i like to know who i am talking to.wave

No, viewing someone's profile does not mean one's interested. I view profiles a lot when I read peoples' postings in threads.

I would take sending a flower to someone more of an indicaton of interest or a request for contact.

Curious about the person, profile and pic. Not really an invite. If i want to contact a person, i'd message her/him. handshake

I usually only look at profiles of people I have spoken to, (or ones who sent me mail, to determine if they are scammers).wine

For me, it's a sheer curiosity about the person, I'd take a look at their profile if their forum posts stand out from the crowd.

I've heard that many CSers consider it to be an invitation. It is not.

firstly i'd only view a profile, if i saw a smile that i was attracted to....or unless that person viewed me first...then i'd view ya to read about ya....and make a decision from there....

bajanblue may she RIP, taught me a little trick. When someone views your profile, she would send them a TY flower for looking. It's a subtle way of cracking open the door without being too pushy or seeming too anxious. I've done this several times to get a line of comm open. Sometimes it only leads to a few emails at best, other times, who knows? Maybe a lasting friendship.

A lot of the profiles are leisurely reading. Some are comedy.

Just as I hope people take my profile as a grain of salt...vice versa~

Same here. I think of it as being similar to glancing at someone you find attractive...say while you're at the mall or store, etc. You look but are not necessarily looking to pursue it further for whatever reason.
