Good for You

I think its a very personal decision, However I can tell you that I have been a vegetarian for many years, I never visit the Doctors, am fit and well and have worked 7 days a week for many years, I suppose my point is, If you have a balanced diet ( I accept that we are all different in some way) and a healthy life style, It should not affect you to much.

Well in nature, humans can often end up as food to other carnivores, so nothing new under the sun there.

As to being vegetarian, if your decision is based on not wanting to see other animals suffer, I can understand that in part. However, nature is meant to be that way, we are omnivores, so we need both meat and vegetables to survive healthily.

If you follow a sports related diet and lifestyle, if you just eat vegetables you'll soon end up at risk of anemism. If it's a matter between risking my health, and the death of a chicken, then I'm sorry, but I value my life as being better than a chicken's, simple as that.

Pigs, cows, and chickens are individuals with feelings - they experience love, happiness, loneliness, and fear, just as dogs, cats, and people do.

It seems to me that food fads are a product of rich societies and sorry but IMHO vegetarianism is a food fad.

I have no time for dinner guests who announce over the aperos that they don't eat dairy/meat/fish/wheat/egg whites/grated carrot/cheese/bla... allergies are something else but food fads? Grow up.

Wordy, no need to run into bombshelter, the veggies reap the benefits much later in life when they are on meds and we reap the benefits as well, we have to foot the sodding bill for them living a socalled healthy life. Numbnuts
