josingleinspain: Showed up to my house 1.30 in the morning in tears. Now this is the story: She is from the USA and met this man that is British but living in Spain. They met in the USA and spend about a month together then he had to come back to Spain for work.After 2 month of talking on Skype they decided for het to move to Spain to be together. Two months of bliss and happyness went by. In that time they went to the market and he had her purse in his backpack, she wanted to buy something and suddely her purse was gone. Passport, driving licence. c/cards ect.
Then a few days after he did not come back home till 4.30 in the morning. Then spends most of his time at the country club with another woman that he works with. She is sat at home day after day. He spends time with this woman and everybody tells he how cosy they look. Sorry i tried to keep it brief.....
What i would like to understand is why would he let her leave her life in the USA if he is getting it on with somebody else??????????????

Well for a start, if she hasn't already, you should go to the police to report the theft. Next take her to the american embassy to get a new passport plus they should help send her back.

find her a job locally,let her earn enough to pay her way.Perhaps contact her embassy.see if there are any hostel's nearby.It doesn't strike you as odd that she has no money in all the world than what was in her purse??!And nobody in all the world to fall back on but someone she just met??!I would be very cautious.

yep well i am a bit cautious..........She has blocked all her c/cards and asked for new passport. I do know if it was me i would have had at least 6 friends i could call to help me.I wish i was not so soft. She can not work here as she is from the USA.I would be very cautious.

well surely if she can arrange a new passport,and block her cards,she can also arrange to access her bank account?check she has done what she says,and call the embassy to see what the procedure is,in her position,including accommodation.

The world is FULL of con-artists ... just be very careful yourself!
And .... WHY would she have her purse being carried in the BACK pocket of her boyfriend .......? ....What woman in her right mind, in a strange foreign country, gives her wallet, with all her documents, to someone else to carry for them? .. Women usually carry their stuff in a bag of their own.
Something smells here ...... I would hand her over to her Embassy and let her take it from there.
In the meantime, do not leave her alone in your home, or else lock up all your own valuables!
Just dont want to have you telling us some time next week that you got robbed!

Well let me know we will have to work out when you want to come......... beach is about 10 min walk. The closest bar is about 3 mins walk. As for breakfast anything you like. For you Smoky even have some great boerewors and biltong with sundowners.
