But when a man was killed at work just around the corner from where I work there is no chance to post a response? Three years ago I was in an industrial accident? Due to lame safety!
There was no inquiry? By work safe? There was no mention in the news? But I still took three years to recover from that incident physically, but the mental visions of my life ending that night, are still in my head? And my ability to do my previous job have ended forever!
Why do people who have suffered under the penny pinchers who decide what safety requirements they will ignore, for what they think is less expensive measures to run a company can do to survive till safety is acted on?
This is my rant for the night, sorry but I had to say it!
Work safe? Pigs arsse!!!!!!!!!!!! Incompetent collection of morons would be more accurate!

There is nothing more scary then thinking you are about to die and it does live on in your head for a long time
Some people only care about safety when it is affecting them unfortunately
as far as I’m concerned- my safety is as much of my responsibility as it is the place I work for…

Memories like that fade over time, but they never go away, they are always just below the surface. It doesnt take much to trigger them some days.
Im glad that you've been able to make a new 'work life' for yourself. I agree that workplace health and safety, doesnt seem to exist in alot of places.
With all the nets supposedly put in place to catch people when they fall, to help with costs and reintroduction to the workforce, its amazing how many people (like yourself) fall through the cracks and are left to struggle back on their own.

And what is with, the we would rather you came into work even though the doctor tells you that you are not allowed to drive? We will supply taxis so as to save on paperwork?
The cost of insurance after an accident is more important than your rehabilitation back into the workforce?
Anyhow I cant complain too much now as I signed their request for resignation form back in march $$$,
But it still saddens me that people will still be at risk everyday due to cheep management,
