Canned Laughter ( Archived) (9)

I'm sitting in another room listening to the TV (2 1/2 men is on) and I'm focused on the audience, or what is supposed to be an audience. In reality they are probably in a studio with some camera operators a director some sound engineers operating a console of laugh tracks and a few other sundry people. From here it is so obviously fake it makes me sick.

There! I feel a lot better.

I basically do not watch television. I have literally never paid a cable TV bill in my life. I have a television, but I just hook up a DVD player and sometimes my laptop to watch movies.

When I am someplace where people have regular TV programming on... Ooby-Dooby, I am right there with ya... I have a very low tolerance for those idiotic laugh tracks!frustrated Like we need someone to tell us when we're supposed to laugh?doh It's so irritating!!!

Also what's up with commercials being all pharmaceutical companies now????very mad As if that's not enough, those ads are followed by lawyers telling us how to get in on the class action suit for last year's pharmaceuticals????shockshock

I was off the subject of the forum there Ooby. I also do not like the "canned laughter" of sitcoms. It is so phony that I turn off the sitcoms for that reason.

Same with all the old TV shows that did the same thing. Probably use the same canned laughter from the old shows even.
